About Lisa Westwood

I took a dental assisting class when I was a junior in high school. Before the end of my senior high school year, I accepted a full- time position doing dental assisting in a dental office where I stayed working for seventeen years. I returned to college about six years after high school while still working full time until I was accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program. I then continued working part- time while completing my degree. I graduated with high honors on the Dean's list at the Salt Lake Community College in 2003 from the Dental Hygiene Department. I have been a full-time dental Hygienist since that time, including the 5 1/2 years I have now been employed at Stone Creek Family Dental.

I am intrigued by the medical field and science in general, which has lead me to where I am in my career now.
I love being able to interact with different people each day. I love getting to know the families a little better each time they come in. I take comfort and pride in knowing that I am helping people to live healthier lives because of what I do.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. I love being a Mom - that is by far my greatest blessing! I teach primary music. I enjoy watching and listening to all the fun things these younger children do and say. They always make me smile. If I had more time I would love to scrapbook, travel, and cook gourmet meals. I like to exercise and read cooking magazines. Don't forget to brush your teeth and especially floss! And never share your toothbrush!
